Saanichton:


Saanichton is a town situated between Victoria and the BC Ferry Terminal. The village is located west of the Pat Bay Highway, at the intersection of East Saanich Road and Mount Newton Cross Road. Saanichton is popular for its gardens and rich vegetation. In the area you will find farmlands and cider houses, Bed and Breakfast houses, campgrounds, quiet residential areas and more. Saanichton, as well as Brentwood Bay, belongs to the Municipality of Central Saanich.

Central Saanich, located on the Saanich Peninsula, has a rich agricultural heritage with almost 2/3 of the municipality located in the Agricultural Land Reserve. Central Saanich was incorporated as a Municipality on December 12, 1950. Today the main access from Victoria, to the Swartz Bay ferrry terminal and the Victoria International Airport, is by the Patricia Bay Highway.
