West Village Park

The marble 'drinking fountain' was created in 2000 by Simone Weber-Luckham. This installation integrates practical infrastructure needs with the creative representation of the natural landscape.

Set beside an intimate pond, the water flows over the organic stone form of the structure, mimicking flow of the stream through Village Park. The water in this park flows through Village Park from its original source in the Fitzsimmons Creek. Beyond the park, the streams flows along Northlands Boulevard, past the Whistler Racquet Club to the wetlands before returning to Fitzsimmons Creek north of the Village. (from 'storytelling' sign designed by Jimi Galvao and Kerry Clark)
